Supporting Fatherless Families in Steubenville, Ohio

Dear Friends,

As a young child, I began to know the love of the Lord through the kindness and generosity of the local community. My family experienced some difficult circumstances, and I feared the possibility of losing the safety and security of my familiar home.

Yet, the Lord called upon our family, friends, and local community to care for a mother and her children. Our parish priest and fellow parishioners were particularly generous.

Miraculously our home was spared time and again by timely and unexpected donations. My mother received assistance in many ways during that period of life, and it was clear to my child's heart that this assistance was an answer to prayer. The tangible witness of others’ living faith took root within me and drew me closer to my Savior, my Father.

The Lord calls each of us to care for those within our community who are in need. In particular, we are called to care for the widows and orphans (James 1:27). Please consider joining us at Project 1:27 in being a witness of the love of Christ to those in need. Give hope to most vulnerable among us, that they may know of the love and protection of their heavenly Father.
